It is a common misconception that online education is easy. Doing an MBA degree online is probably the same as doing it offline. In fact, the former option would be more difficult as compared to the latter if you are not comfortable reading books on the computer screen. To simply presume that online courses are easy does not make sense.

Students who are used to buying books in bulk and going through them in a steady manner may find it difficult to use the same approach for online courser. From the acclimatization and adaptation point of view, online education is more difficult as compared to offline education.

As far as syllabus and quality of the course is concerned, no education institution is going to relax its norms just because the degree is provided online. In fact, considering the fact that the student has the option of cheating in exams and even bypassing security rules and features implemented, chances are high that online education would only be tougher.

There is a misconception that online education is suitable only for those who have not completed their studies on time. That was the norm in the past. Today, it is possible for an individual to earn simultaneous degrees by opting for offline as well as online education. Needless to say, this is going to place additional burden on the student and he or she will have to work harder.

To get an online degree is not the same as using online resources for learning. A good student can make use of the internet and its vast resources to secure knowledge faster and better. However, such a student will also face the risk of ending up with unreliable information.

The internet is democratic and any and every person can claim to be an expert. This can be a very big problem for a student expected to have certain and accurate facts in hand.
