A Dog’s tale is a short story written by Mark Twain. The story’s told from the standpoint of a loyal pet. The story begins with a description of the life of the dog as a puppy and her separation from her mother. Her puppy and her master’s child were soon added to their new home. When a fire break out of the nursery, the dog put her life at risk to drag the baby to safety, unfortunately her intentions were misunderstood and she is cruelly beaten.
