Electronic book, better known as E-book, undoubtedly has a number of advantages such as it requires less space for storage and its back-up copy can easily be created without much cost. But as everything has positive and negative points, even E-book has certain shortcomings that everyone should be aware of. Let us discuss some of the shortcomings of E-books so that you can overcome some of the short comings when you want to use E-book.
First of all, with the advancements of information technology, there are quick advancements which are taking place in the formats in which e-book is read. If the person who wants to read E-book does not have the format in his E-book is written, he/she would not be able to read that particular E-book. But this is one of the shortcomings that you can easily overcome. All you have to do is to know the format in which that E-book is written and install the same in your PC or mobile phone and you can read your E-book.
Not many people are comfortable reading on the screen, therefore, they read on screen only as much as they are required to read. Due to this reason, reading E-books for leisure is not a thing which people would like to do. In addition, printed books can be given to people for gifts but gifting an E-book may not look as appealing.
