These days, everywhere you look people are using the EBook! Via the bus, trains, or sitting in a restaurant, you find that electronic device in someone’s possession. The reason behind this is because there are many pros to having this latest technology.

According to a book study group, sales of EBooks across the country have grown by 2.0 percent in the first quarter of 2010! The study was done over a four year period when EBooks were becoming trendier. This is up by a .8 percent increase from the years of 2007 to 2009.

Approximately 40 percent of EBook owners download there first book in this quarter due to so many users are getting the swing of buying their books electronically. After years of going to libraries and bookstores, studies show that it can be a difficult habit to change. Within the 40 percent surveyed, 32 percent bought fewer hardcover and paperback books once they found that downloading the text was easier and faster. A smaller percentage said that, The only way they would go back to buying a physical book is if the file was not available to download.

This tread is somewhat like what is happening with our friendly postal service! Due to emailing, texting, and instant messaging (I.M.), the postal service has been hit with the lost of the amount of mail that is shipped on a daily basis. This in fact has caused the increase in shipping postage. Publishers are now faced with the dilemma with the reduction of print runs. With that being said an increase in book cost are on the rise due to lower book purchasing. If you have downloaded your favorite books on your EBook, you can give them away to organizations. They will be more then happy to have them in their collection. -Include them in your next garage sale. Today you can find just about anything at a garage sale and books are always being featured. Turn those unwanted books into a profit, making your clutter someone else’s treasure.

-Give them away as gifts. It may sound odd to give something as a gift you have already used, but you don’t have to wait until a special occasion. If you have books that you think someone could use or it may help them, pass it along so they can be enlighten. Just make sure it’s in good condition. Used doesn’t mean abused!

-Most important, you may want to keep them. If all else fails, including the EBook, you may want to keep those books handy just as a precaution. At some point you may get tired of looking at that screen and want to see the words on the pages in the natural. Or your reader may not work in a particular day. After all, it is technology. At least you will have a back up source so you won’t miss out on what the story entails. There are many people who prefer to keep books on hand to have them in their homes for show.

Next, download the ereader program from the eReader.com website. The installation files are contained in a zip archive. So in order to install them you need to unzip these files. Double click the zip archive files and choose a folder to store the unzipped files.

Go to the folder where you stored the files and double-click the installation files. This step will run the run the palm desktop program. Click on Install on the left side of the window that opens. This will pop up a dialog box. Here click on Add.
Going back to the folder where your unzipped files were stored, select eReader.prc and click on it twice. Click Done and then Ok. All files with .pdf extension are book files. So click the first such file twice. Click Done and then Ok. Repeat the last step for each .pdf file present.
Next, using the USB Sync Cable provided, connect the palm PDA to your desktop PC or laptop. Do not forget to power it up using the AC adapter. Launch the eReader program by clicking on the eReader icon on the main page of the palm PDA.
