How to read ebooks

To read an ebook you will need an book reader program. There are different kinds of ebooks available online. Some of these easy to use as they can be read with multiple types of book reader programs, and even on multiple devices. These are usually free digital text files. Others which are sold at a premium have copyright protection.
So the first thing you have to do id to download a book reader. Without one you will not be able to read an ebook. Some ebooks in simple file types can be read even without a reader program because some web browsers can read them in HTM or TXT formats. However, some file types require special reader programs.
The next step is to search for ebooks. You can easily obtain ebooks from several websites that offer them for free. Most of these websites have good collection of ebooks and you can browse through the categories in their store directories to choose your ebook. Certain other websites sell ebooks. There are others still that lend ebooks from their ebook collection just as local libraries do. These websites virtually function as libraries and you can sign up with them for an e-membership card that will allow to use their ebook collection. These libraries also alert their members through e-newsletters when their favorite authors publish new ebooks. Sometimes authors have links in their websites that will take you to the websites of their publishers from where you can directly purchase an ebook.
Before you download an ebook, make sure it is in a file format compatible with your ebook reader program. Download your ebook and save it where you can easily find it. Open the reader program and locate the ebook from the Open File option. Double click the file to open it.
