Installing ereader to read ebooks

In order to read ebooks on your palm PDA you need to install ereader program on the palm PDA. The only program that can read ebooks in eReader.com’s eBook format is the eReader. Ebooks belonging to the eReader.com are encrypted by the website to protect the authors’ work. With a few simple steps you can install the eReader on your palm PDA. It is a quick and easy process.
The first step is to install the palm desktop tool integrated with the palm PDA on your computer or laptop. In addition, if your operating system is Windows then install WinZip; if it is Macintosh then install Stuffit.
Next, download the ereader program from the eReader.com website. The installation files are contained in a zip archive. So in order to install them you need to unzip these files. Double click the zip archive files and choose a folder to store the unzipped files.


Go to the folder where you stored the files and double-click the installation files. This step will run the run the palm desktop program. Click on Install on the left side of the window that opens. This will pop up a dialog box. Here click on Add.
Going back to the folder where your unzipped files were stored, select eReader.prc and click on it twice. Click Done and then Ok. All files with .pdf extension are book files. So click the first such file twice. Click Done and then Ok. Repeat the last step for each .pdf file present.
Next, using the USB Sync Cable provided, connect the palm PDA to your desktop PC or laptop. Do not forget to power it up using the AC adapter. Launch the eReader program by clicking on the eReader icon on the main page of the palm PDA.
